At Faith Baptist, we try to go on a missions trip each summer.  Teams from our church have gone to Quito, Equador, and Eluthra, a small island in the Bahamas.

We have four primary purposes in mission trips

• To develop leadership for our church
• To engage in mission projects to help the missionaries and people of the country
• To engage in mission work to see if God might lead any of us into missions
• To experience the country, cuisine, climate and culture

	Quito, Equador is in the mountains at 9,350 feet above sea level.  It is the second largest city in Equador with a population over 2 million. Our mission trip was to a small church where we helped put on a week long Bible school for the local children, and added sound mitigation to their sactuary.
	Eleuthra is one of the poorer islands of the Bahamas.  Our mission trip here was to a school where we painted and fixed up buildings for a week, and helped wiith a bible study for the children.
